Cancellation Guidelines

 

Employees can cancel their training registration by emailing BHR Training Registration or by calling (605) 773.3461.

Professional Development Courses:

Employees registered for a Professional Development course are required to cancel their registration prior to the start of the training course. Employees who do not attend and who have not cancelled their registration prior to the class, will be considered no-shows. Agencies will be billed for employees who are considered no-shows. The agency director will receive a list of no-shows and the fees billed on a monthly basis.

Computer Courses:
Employees registered for Bureau of Human Resources computer training courses are required to cancel their registration 24-hours prior to the start of the training course. Employees who do not attend and who have not cancelled their registration 24-hours prior to the class, will be considered no-shows. Agencies will be billed full price for employees who are considered no-shows. The agency director will receive a list of no shows and the fees billed on a monthly basis.

**Exceptions include personal and work-related emergencies and adverse weather conditions. In the event of any of these situations, the Bureau of Human Resources must be notified of the reason for the no-show within two working days after the class or the registrant will be billed as a no-show regardless of the reason for the absence.
