Crucial Conversations is a two-day course that teaches skills for handling these crucial conversations: a discussion between two or more people where the stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. These conversations – when handled poorly or ignored – lead to strained relationship and dismal results. This course will help you speak and be heard, make the highest-quality decisions, then act on the decisions with unity and commitment.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Spot when conversations become crucial.
  2. Hold the right conversations.
  3. Speak persuasively, not abrasively.
  4. Understand your own style under stress.
  5. Clearly identify and express what you really mean.
  6. Separate facts from stories and emotions.
  7. Make it safe for others to speak up.
  8. Build acceptance rather than resistance.
