Course Description: President Obama signed the Plain Writing Act of 2010 on October 13, 2010. The law requires that federal agencies use "clear Government communication that the public can understand and use." 

Effective Writing participants learn to transfer those same principles used at the federal level to clarify and improve their own writing samples. Participants receive the Federal Guide to Plain Language as well as the Gregg Reference Manual.

Training Objective: The participant will learn to write clearly, accurately, and quickly.
