Drug and Alcohol Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors

3-hour class
AFE # for DOT employees only- 74G5

This training is for supervisors of safety sensitive transportation employees that hold a CDL.

The class will inform supervisors about drug and alcohol testing procedures/requirements and signs and symptoms of substance abuse.

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) substance abuse testing is crucial for the safety of employees, coworkers and the traveling public. It is the world’s largest drug and alcohol testing program; it regulates over 12.1 million people. USDOT publishes the regulations for drug and alcohol testing of Commercial Driver License (CDL) holders. These regulations prohibit CDL holders from engaging in certain drug- and alcohol-related conduct and require employers, including the State of South Dakota, to test employees to ensure compliance with the drug and alcohol rules.
